Branding Queens — Editorial Portrait Illustrations
Winner in the 25th annual Foreword INDIES Book of the Year Awards 2022. See the whole project here: https://www.twine.net/signin A commission to illustrate 20 women for the award-winning book Branding Queens by Kim D. Rozdeba. All the portraits are made by hand with ink brush pens and fineliners, before being edited digitally with added watercolour elements. What the author said about my work: “My beta readers’ feedback was that I had a best seller book. They loved the twenty incredible stories of some of the most famous women entrepreneurs in the world. The only thing missing was an image of these branding mavens. So how was I going to acquire twenty images of women across three centuries? That’s when Ida Hay came to my rescue. She embraced this project with enthusiasm that matched her incredible talent to bring these women to life. I hope my words match her artistry.” — D. Field Of Potential — Logo & Branding Design
This is not your usual astrology business! See this project in full here: https://www.twine.net/signin Field of Potential is an astrology, healing and coaching business with 30+ years of experience — all without any sort of branding, until now! This project was a tight collaboration with the client during the planning and sketch phase, which then resulted in complete trust and freedom from the client's side. Some of the first things that were decided upon were the colours. The client wished to stay away from the stereotypical purples, blues and pinks which are so commonly used for similar spiritual branding. Instead, the client wished for grounded colours like gold, sage green, warm white and a deep, dark red. This colour palette painted a clear direction for the rest of the branding. Additionally, when the client was asked about the company's tone of voice, some of the words that came to mind were: down-to-earth; fun in the search for self; heartfelt; discerning and honest. Simple, clean and minimalist were of the utmost importance to the client while also staying true to their core, "earthy feeling". branding logo graphicdesigner designer illustrator illustration brandingdesign logodesign

The Menagerie of Outcasts — Packaging Design & Concept
Please follow this link to see the project in full including process, concept, and the complete series of designs: https://www.twine.net/signin Presenting The Menagerie of Outcasts, a limited edition fall beer collection brewed and presented by the Three Devils Brewing Collective! It is an eclectic collection of beers for the unique individual which includes six bottled beers in two alternative designs, plus one extra special edition canned beer. “The Menagerie” is a series of anthropomorphized characters, each with their own pop culture (or otherwise) reference. The seven conceptual beers are all based on a more or less infamous animal: A raven, a snake, a moth, a hare, a wolf, a goat and a bat, all unapologetically different — a theme reflected throughout the whole concept. Each beer label is designed with a combination of concept development, character design, illustration, hand lettering, custom duo-tone colour palettes and typesetting. The Three Devils Brewing Collective’s company logo is hand-drawn and lettered to resemble old woodcut prints. The bottle designs each carry a matching neck label showcasing the company logo on the front. Each and every label has its own unique die-cut, an example of this can be seen on the beer can design by the polished aluminum peaking through. logo graphicdesigner branding illustrator designer concept packaging packagingdesign lettering typography illustration logodesign branddesign branddesigner packagingdesigner
