I am an Italian director, screenwriter, and producer residing in Barcelona, trained in film direction and screenwriting at the Film Art School of Genoa , Italy and the CECC of Barcelona.
I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Arabic and Islamic Studies from the University of Seville. In 2015, i have participated in Abbas Kiarostami’s workshop in Spain, creating the short film “Porta Europa,” showcased at various festivals. The following year, i have joined Naomi Kawase’s experimental film workshop in Cuba, producing the short film “Tornado.” I have been received training from filmmakers such as Isaki Lacuesta and Víctor Erice. In 2013, I have co-founded the production company Aretusa Films, co-producing my films and those of other emerging filmmakers. My debut feature film, “Ti Offro Da Bere,” was shot between Italy and England and co-produced with DLQ Creative Factory.
Another most recent work, is"Io sono il sole," premiered worldwide at the Odessa International Film Festival and participated in various festivals, including Feed Dog in Barcelona, Sao Paulo Brazil, Valencia’s Biennial of Women and Cinema, and the Navarra Film Festival, where it received awards for best film and best direction.
Lately I have produced and directed the film “La chaise vide ou la Table bleue”, ashort film biographical documentary. about interior desgner Marta Vilallonga, who worked 30 years with architect Ricardo Bofill.
