My greatest skill is to have been in the wrong place at the wrong time for a great many years! I have become pretty good at spotting lost opportunities and fruitless cul-de-sacs. But music, for all its frustrations and annoyances, has supported and inspired me endlessly. My career has been in engineering, mostly systems testing, with music as a hobby. For a few years until recently I was a carer for my father. Sadly he is no longer with us and I only have a part-time job in energy assessments, so there's plenty of time for new music projects. I am solvent, so not reliant on music projects to support life! I have a small home studio with Cubase and Reason and a shedload of plug-ins and whatnots. My main objective is to find an outlet for my material, which could be a solo album or compositions for other people to record and perform. I also like to arrange pieces composed by someone else and would love to collaborate on a musical project. I've stumbled around the margins of the music business for over forty years, never feeling I quite fitted what was in vogue at any time. I've set up rock bands, dabbled in jazz and electronica, even formed a publishing and record business to release an album of other people's music which received national news coverage for its novel approach but insufficient sales to threaten the industry. But it was always the dream of writing a really good pop song that continued to haunt me. I've never been keen on performing and I don't have a great voice, but it seemed to be what you had to do to be taken seriously as an artist. Now I'm able to look for that connection that could be the spark we all need.

I’ve stumbled around the margins of the music business for over forty years, never feeling I quite fitted what was in vogue at any time. I’ve set up rock bands, dabbled in jazz and electronica, even formed a publishing and record business to release an album of other people’s music which received national news coverage for its novel approach but insufficient sales to threaten the industry. I’ve never been keen on performing and I don’t have a great voice, but it seemed to be what you had to do to be taken seriously as an artist.
