I’m a social media manager by trade and a creative copywriter, ideas man and entrepreneur by passion. My day to day involves using strategic insight and creative thinking to help clients build brands that not only last but make a mark. My journey kicked off with a degree in commercial music, leading me to launch several ventures in Auckland and Wellington. Along the way, I co-founded Bake n’ Break, which proudly scooped up the ‘Best New Business’ award at the 2021 Outstanding Producer Awards. In my current role, I engage diverse audiences by crafting compelling content and fine-tuning communication strategies to the beat of digital trends. This requires a mix of staying updated, adapting quickly, and ensuring content grabs attention and delivers measurable outcomes. As I’ve evolved in my role, I’ve realised that being a social media manager means wearing many hats and as such, in the dynamic environment of our wider team, I’ve become the ‘Jack of all trades.’ Whether it’s brainstorming fresh ideas, troubleshooting a quick website fix, or lending a hand with tech issues, my teammates know I’m just a shout away. This role has not only honed my creative and technical skills but also deepened my problem-solving abilities, making me a versatile player in our teams and clients collective success. Having grown with each business, I’ve seen firsthand how the success of our clients boosts the entire company. Working with diverse teams has reinforced my belief that the best creative sparks fly from unexpected and open collaboration. Whether I’m on my own or part of a larger team, my approach is consistent: build meaningful relationships based on trust and respect, chase excellence at every opportunity, and always ask “why” or “why not” - questions that push us to innovate, reevaluate, and reimagine. What really excites me? Playing with fresh ideas and new perspectives that impact how people perceive and interact with the world through communication and activations that build invested communities, thinking differently and staying top of exiting new trends and technology that help to shift culture.
