Before I was born, my mum was told: “You’ll never get a boy into reading”. Well, never one to be told what to do, she went a step further. She got a boy into writing. Fast forward a few chapters and I’m now a commissioned screenwriter and senior writer with almost a decade of experience across film, audio drama, games, digital content and copywriting. I help companies bring compelling stories to life, from adapting novels for screen and writing branching dialogue for games, to developing resonant brand personas and crafting scroll-stopping content. I'm equally comfortable creating brand and narrative content because I'm obsessed with one thing: audience. The most satisfying part of my job is getting to know who I’m speaking to and tailoring content that I know will make them gasp, laugh, cry, click, or share. The second most satisfying part is collaboration. Whether leading a project development from end to end or simply being a member of a wider team, watching an idea spark through a group and grow into the best version of itself is magic. Working across several disciplines has given me a broad perspective on how different industries approach the same creative problem: “how do we get our audience to engage and react?” This depth of experience has left me with a unique and adaptable approach when answering this question in my own work. Over the years, I’ve seen my work screened at international festivals, win awards, reach the top of best-seller lists and even spawn a fan fiction community.
