Resonance – Live at Pier 2/4 was a sold out live performance project presented at Sydney’s iconic waterfront venue, Pier 2/4. The work brought together a powerful collaboration between contemporary neo classical composition and world class orchestral performance, featuring musicians from the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra.
Led by composer and pianist James Boyd Hoare, the performance explored the concept of resonance both sonically and visually, blending acoustic string writing with live electronics to create an immersive, cinematic experience. The concert was designed as a fully realised audio visual work, integrating lighting, space, and sound to amplify the emotional impact of the music.
Captured through a multi camera live shoot, the project documents not only the performance itself but the scale and energy of a sold out audience engaging with a new form of contemporary orchestral presentation. Resonance stands as a defining example of bridging traditional ensemble performance with modern production, positioning the work at the intersection of concert music, film, and live installation.…Resonance – Live at Pier 2/4 was a sold out live performance project presented at Sydney’s iconic waterfront venue, Pier 2/4.
