Graphic Design Freelancing at Self-employed

January 1, 2019 - Present

Throughout my three and a half years of studying I have always been keen and excited to undertake freelance work in my spare time. I redesigned U-Bake’s brand identity as they were getting an interior redesign and decided they wanted a full re-brand. This was my first project I saw come to life which will always be a fond memory of mine. I created the logo for a local fistball team (South Canterbury Fistball) as well as advertisement posters for a tutor in Timaru. I’ve also created new packaging for a yogurt company which is currently in the works and may be in the supermarket soon.

I have been working at U-bake since early high school part-time. During high school I worked on the weekends, during my gap year I worked here full time, and for the past three years I have been working here whenever I get a break from studying. I feel like ubake has helped me balance study and work and forced me to manage my time better. I have always been loyal to ubake and am always happy to go back. I also helped ubake with their redesign, making them a new logo and many different packaging designs.

During the holiday period of 2021 - 2022, I worked at H and J Bruce, with my main responsibility being to drive a class one truck around the area and to deliver goods to customers and companies. This helped me improve customer service skills and handling goods with care.
