The Smoke Free Ambassador Scheme is an animation for the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board designed to empower learners to become advocates for smoke-free living, both within their schools and beyond the school gates. On this project, I worked as the lead character designer, animator, and character rigger.

The video was produced in English and Welsh, along with custom subtitled versions. We also developed booklet and certificates featuring our character designs.

The Democracy and Boundary Commission Cymru has established the Electoral Management Board for Wales to oversee devolved elections. Made up of DBCC Commissioners and Returning Officers, the EMB will support election delivery, advise Welsh Ministers, and promote democratic health. Its initial focus is the 2026 Senedd election, featuring new constituencies, more Members, and a revised voting system.

We created a clear and engaging explainer animation to introduce the new Electoral Management Board for Wales; breaking down complex electoral changes in a concise and fun way.

One of my earlier pieces I worked on was a competition held by Swansea University for schoolchildren to design the ‘University of the Future’, imagining what the University would look like in another 100 years’ time. The competition was endorsed by bestselling children’s author David Walliams, and Savage and Gray were invited to create an animation based on the winning KS2 story, which was by Amelia Johnson.

It focused on a future in which Swansea University has been rebuilt underwater, beneath a Tidal Lagoon in Swansea Bay, and was narrated by David Walliams himself!

‘Quick Change’ is a Cardiff and Vale University Health Board exercise initiative to encourage strong, healthy feet and legs in primary school children. The 7-minute animated classroom tool has a ‘dress-up’ theme, with a range of ‘child’ characters changing into different fun outfits before performing each exercise.

We developed 20+ characters for the project, of which 10 were used for the final animation. We suggested the name ‘Quick Change’, to represent three ideas: dressing up and role playing; moving swiftly from one activity to the next; and the way our bodies, energy and health can change through exercise.

Kami Kuin is a short film directed and created by Jame Ellis during the Covid-19 pandemic and was what led me to getting my longest-lasting job in Animation to date.

When Alldred, a young warrior, uncovers part of a forgotten weapon in the depths of a floral kingdom, the young flower sets out. With the aid of her mentor, the pair endeavours to uncover the resting place of its remains and the truth behind this mystery hidden away at the edge of their world.
