I write words that make people care about stuff. Once upon a time, in a high school English class, I wrote a short story that made my teacher cry. It wasn’t exactly the reaction I was aiming for, but it taught me that words have power, and the right combination of them can spark ideas, change minds, build communities, or simply help people feel understood. The magic lies in the possibility. Today, I bring that same belief to my work as a digital marketer, content writer, and communications professional. I’m a community-minded marketer with a Graduate Certificate in Digital Marketing from Nova Scotia Community College, a Bachelor of Arts in Community Studies with a major in Anthropology and Sociology, and a diploma in Social Services. That combination gives me a unique perspective: I have a literal degree in people-watching, so I genuinely enjoy understanding people, what motivates them, and how meaningful communication creates connection. Over the past several years, I’ve developed experience in content marketing, copywriting, SEO, social media strategy, community engagement, digital advertising, and brand storytelling. I’ve written and optimized long-form content, managed digital campaigns, conducted audience and competitor research, developed marketing strategies, and supported organizations ranging from construction companies to nonprofits and community-focused initiatives. My work has included localizing U.S.-based content for Canadian audiences, managing Google Ads campaigns, developing SEO-driven blog content, creating social media strategies, building onboarding processes for freelance clients, and translating complex topics into content that real people actually want to read. My background in anthropology, sociology, psychology, and social services taught me that every audience is made up of people with stories, challenges, motivations, and goals. I’m particularly passionate about working with mission-driven organizations, heritage and cultural institutions, nonprofits, tourism initiatives, community groups, and businesses that care about making a meaningful impact. My goal is to help people connect with the ideas, causes, products, and communities that matter to them.
