My name is Jen, and I am interested in your 2026 CG Animation Apprenticeship Program. I graduated from Western Carolina University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television Production. After graduation, I worked in film and theater jobs in NYC during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2022, I decided to pursue a career in film and television, with a focus on animation. I have gone through Animation Mentor‘s Character Animation Program to learn 3D character animation. I spent my time at WCU learning how to analyze, write, and produce film and TV productions. These concepts have helped me in many aspects of animation, as I now understand all the steps involved in creating a film. Besides animating, I enjoy drawing, storyboarding, and creating concept designs. I also have experience as a short film producer, production designer, and editor. During my three years at Animation Mentor, I have learned the fundamentals of animation and how to use movement to tell a story. I have acquired a wide range of animation skills and core concepts to produce the best animation possible. Due to my experience in film and theater, I often receive great feedback on my acting references, where I communicate ideas clearly and entertainingly. I am a very detail-oriented and organized person who excels at collaborating with others and working in fast-paced environments.
