Hi, I’m Jess Milne, an award-winning shooter, producer, and cinematographer, and the NSW Secretary of the Australian Cinematographers Society (ACS). I co-found Ten Alphas, producing and shooting premium documentary, factual, and branded content for high-profile clients. I work across documentary, drama, music, and high-end factual storytelling, grounded in story leadership, emotional intimacy, and cinematic language. My background includes in-house shooter-producer and lead producer roles for Mazda and the eSafety Commissioner, leading end-to-end content from concept through production, post-production, and delivery. I’ve attached as Director of Photography on major broadcast dramas, shot a feature-length documentary for AFL Studios, and contributed to projects such as Finding Addison and Off the Leash, while expanding into DoP attachments on Ten Pound Poms and One Night. I continue to develop story-led, visually poetic filmmaking with cultural and social impact.

In a time when a woman’s right to bodily autonomy is forbidden, Dr. Celeste Navarro runs an underground medical clinic that offers secret, safe abortion services to those in desperate need. Her clinic, known only to a trusted few, is a sanctuary for those with nowhere else to turn. A rebellion, a refuge, and a necessary act of defiance in a world that denies women a choice over their own bodies.

Each day brings a new challenge: desperate women seeking help, supporters risking their own safety to protect the clinic, and the always present threat of exposure, where one wrong move could destroy everything they have built, and with news of raids across Sydney sending shockwaves through their network, Celeste and her team are forced to make impossible decisions- who to help, who to turn away, and how to continue to operate in a world that grows more dangerous by the day.
