I’m Jessica, a Game and Narrative Designer from the UK with a passion for storytelling, design, and emotionally resonant play. After graduating with First Class Honours in Game Design and Art during the pandemic (while becoming a new parent!), I began my career in QA before joining Trailmix as a Content Designer for three years. More recently, I’ve been writing for a high-profile romance IP in the mobile space as well as collaborating on an indie project as a game and narrative designer. Over the past three years, I’ve grown into a confident, multidisciplinary designer - skilled in writing, game and narrative design, Unity, and collaborative development. I’m driven by a desire to create meaningful, memorable games that speak to the human experience. My favourite games are Outer Wilds and D&D/PF2. As a Content Designer, I create engaging cutscenes in Unity for a live-service mobile game where players progress through a dynamic storyline and earn cosmetic rewards for their café by spending in-game currency. My role blends narrative and game design to craft immersive experiences within tight parameters, delivering content on a weekly cadence using Scrum. I also developed cutscene templates, documentation, and content design specs to improve efficiency, production, and onboarding.
