Hi! I’m Jess, an illustrator and designer currently completing an MA in Illustration. I’m inspired by everyday life, playful ideas, and personal memories, often with a love of animals and storytelling woven throughout. I work across a mix of digital and traditional media, including risograph, laser cutting, animation, letterpress, and packaging. I’m especially passionate about editorial and publishing illustration, but also enjoy graphic design and experimenting with materials and formats. I’ve collaborated on children’s book character design, taken part in design competitions, and sold work at print fairs. I’m friendly, adaptable, and always up for a new challenge. paper Tiger mother

Finished in July 2025, this is one of my favourite digital illustrations. I wanted to play with how light shines through a scene. I also focused on strong shapes, which you can see especially from the mother tiger, I loved working on this piece it was a fun way to explore lighting, shadows, and composition in a more focused way.

It was made for a children’s book I’m working on in my personal time, as a way to establish colours and develop a visual style for the project.
