This artwork was created specifically for the Taiwanese section of the LA Times book festival with the theme "Literature and Migration: Flowing Across Words".
They required a 10' by 10' background.
Drawing inspiration from Taiwan's unique geographical features—an island embraced by majestic mountains and surrounded by the ocean. I use the silhouette of the tallest mountain in Taiwan and the line of the ocean wave to create the background.
