My name is John Carter and I have extensive experience in video editing, screenwriting, music production and music composition. I have produced three independent albums under limiting conditions and I have written four professional screenplays with one currently in production.
I have developed a video production program for a high school curriculum which has trained students in professional tools needed for Video production and editing.
I am highly experienced in audio production and music composition. In total I have made over 70 songs in the last five years. I am experienced in producing all genres of music, as I have worked for both hip-hop artists as well as indie-rockers.
In my own time, I have created a new album under the artist name “Yawn Hawkins”. On this record, I used a wide array of real instruments as well as MIDI instruments. I was able to complete all parts of the record, including all artwork, while under time restrictions and limited budget.
I have extensive experience in Adobe suite, as I professionally teach students to use it everyday. I have edited countless videos, some of which for companies such as Powerpole. I can edit all kinds of videos but I excel at videos that are innovative and creative.

In 2021, I completed my first album titled “Bottom Feeder”. It is an indie rock record and it was my first real experience recording, mixing and mastering a project. It’s a little rough around the edges now when I listen to it but my skills have come a long way.
I was tasked with editing together footage taken for a documentary produced by the fishing company Powerpole. It was made to tell the story of a Florida local fisherman and how he created a business from drawing fish that he caught.
