This is a song I produced and co-wrote with my friend Elli, it draws a lot on both of our jazz backgrounds and I think is a good showcase of our musical “voices”.

About
Hey there, my name is John Lawrie. I’m a music producer navigating the intricate realms of jazz, pop, folk, EDM, country, and many more. With 15 years of experience playing piano, my classical and jazz background deeply informs my work. I attended Belmont University with a Degree in Commercial Piano. Production has always been my favorite medium in music, and I currently run a studio called “Broken Door Studios” in Nashville, Tennessee with some of my good friends.

Afrokokoroot
These three songs are part of an album I produced and helped mix of an afrobeat band based in Nashville. The songs are so unique and I had a blast helping create them. There’s 7 more songs to be released so stay tuned!
