I’m a musician who specializes in cinematic electronic music, sound design, and emotionally-driven storytelling. Based in Los Angeles, I produce under the name EMERALD GATES — a project rooted in real emotion, detailed sound design, and immersive sonic world building. My music blends melodic bass, trap wave, ambient, and experimental elements into genre-defying compositions that reflect both darkness and light. I’ve released music on respected labels like Rude Service, Frequency, ARWV, and Music High Court, earning over 500,000+ streams across Spotify and SoundCloud. I’ve collaborated with artists including Meggie York, Emma Grace, Bad Proxy, and RENN, and performed at venues like Time Nightclub, Exchange LA, and The Ave (Philadelphia) — opening for artists like Crystal Skies, Laidback Luke, and JSTJR. Before launching EMERALD GATES, I created and performed under two earlier projects: • DEESH (tech/future house), with support from Diplo, PAJANE, R3WIRE, and club gigs across LA. • ELYS!AN (melodic/future bass), which laid the emotional foundation that EG now builds on. I also worked at Sony Music Publishing in the sync licensing division, where I managed creative marketing campaigns and cleared publishing rights for major projects — giving me deep insight into the business side of music and how to position work for sync and licensing. Currently, I teach private DJ and production lessons (CDJs, Ableton, sound design), help artists develop their branding and strategy, and continue building out EMERALD GATES with multiple EPs and albums in development.
