    paper DHX 3.0 LIGHTWEIGHT DIRTBIKE

    https://www.twine.net/signin

The DHX 3.0 is the successor to my previous lightweight dirt bike design, the DHX 2.0.

This design intent with this iteration was to reduce complexity and make it easier to manufacture. The frame design DOES NOT require welding. It is all CNC machined from 6061 and and the frame components bolt together. It can be shipped globally with ease as the parts can all be flat packed.

This latest chassis design represents the culmination of years of research and design starting back in 2011. However, unlike the first prototypes (DHX 1 and 2) which were designed using cardboard and welded stock tubing, this bike was fully designed in CAD as per motorcycle industry standards.

I’ve been working on this updated design since 2014, I finished the 3D printed mock up in 2018 and back benched the whole project since then.
