Objective: Transform raw footage into a high-energy, social-first short video optimized for TikTok and Instagram. The goal was to make the piece feel native to each platform’s language (fast pace, clear hooks, strong visual rhythms) while preserving José Piquer’s professional image. My role: Lead editor and creative director for the short-form cut — responsible for narrative restructuring, pacing, visual polish and final delivery across vertical formats. What I did: Restructured the original footage to open with a strong hook in the first 1–3 seconds. Tightened pacing with rhythmic cuts and micro-edits to improve retention. Added on-screen text and animated captions for accessibility and engagement. Incorporated motion transitions and jump cuts aligned with platform trends while keeping brand consistency. Prepared deliverables resized and encoded for TikTok (9:16) and Instagram Feed/Reels (9:16), including export presets and social-ready thumbnails. Supplied project files and a short guide on posting windows and suggested captions/CTAs. Deliverables: Two optimized vertical exports (TikTok + Instagram), an editable project file, one thumbnail, and a short caption + hashtag suggestion list.
