Optioned screenwriter and author. Jules is a Northern English screenwriter and author with an optioned feature screenplay currently in development with LA-based production company Three Ring Nickel and a Masters in Screenwriting from Raindance Film School. Her short film Time Share was screened in eight festivals including LOCO and BIFA-qualifying Sunrise. Her feature script TimeShare expands that world and made it into the top 10% of the BBC 2025 Development Programme and she is regularly invited to pitch to the Creative Producing class at NFTS taught by Karen Stirgwolt. She has written and performed as part of the sketch comedy group Speedbump Repair Committee, created and voiced a series of comedy radio plays for University Radio Falmer, and authored a chapter in the collaborative relay novel I’m Partial to Romance in conjunction with the Orton Writers. Her short story Devya was a finalist in the Waterstones ‘Write and Raise’ competition 2018. Jules has a keen interest in combining comedy with other beloved genres such as sci-fi and coming-of-age. Her goal is to revitalise feel-good comedies and turn them from guilty pleasures into essential viewing. She has a particular interest in writing about and for teens, determined to provide soul-searching entertainment for younger generations. At the heart of her work are characters who refuse to shrink themselves, choosing instead to step outside the boxes they’re handed and define life on their own wonderfully weird terms.
