Hello! My name is Jacob Updyke. This June I graduated from the Savannah College of Art & Design with a BFA in Animation for Storytelling and concept development, and a minor in Storyboarding. While at SCAD, I studied 2D animation, visual development, layout design, background painting, storyboarding, and script writing for television and feature animated productions. I’ve worked on over a dozen short films and collaborative projects, pitched, recruited, and produced my own 2d/3d hybrid capstone film, Pippin and the Mountain Troll, and have served in multiple leadership positions as a precollege assistant and student ambassador for the university. I’ve been very excited about the prospect of working for a professional industry team, and being able to contribute to an animated production. I’m a generalist who can wear many hats, a great problem solver open to learning new tools, and would love the chance to show you what a great team member I can be.
