My name is Justin Wagler. I'm an illustrator and designer from the Missouri Ozarks. In past roles, I've worked with notable companies like Marriott, Panera Bread, Hyatt, and Jersey Mike's. However, my recent work with various non-profits is what makes me truly proud. Creating for a cause by helping to develop, expand, and scale existing organization's brands so that they can fulfill their mission more efficiently and effectively is what provides value for me as a creative. uniE621 Publication Graphics | Environmental Services
The Environmental Services Department of the City of Springfield, MO released an annual special center-spread section in their city-wide neighborhood newsletter. It highlighted core programs and tips for citizens that were most impactful during that specific season. The chosen art direction focused on a simple, yet interesting aesthetic that would be attention-grabbing for all ages while still retaining the department's developed branding and utilizing existing brand assets. I helped with the selection and development of content, vector illustration of images, type design, and layout for the full edition of each season: spring, summer, autumn, and winter. #graphicdesigner #branding #illustrator #designer
    uniE621 Help Ozarks Campaign
As most governments were determining the best way to respond and adapt to the immediate impacts of COVID-19 in the early months of 2020, the City of Springfield, MO placed an emphasis on pooling together resources to help the community. A core component of this included the encouragement for community members (individuals, nonprofits, and businesses) to work together and for each other by pledging their help to the city and the broader surrounding Ozarks. The Help Ozarks Pledge was the heart of this effort. It provided a lens to communicate important and vital information to the community at large. These communication efforts had to be cohesive and distinctly different from the primary branding of the City of Springfield. All announcements and educational material adopted the Help Ozarks branding allowing for easy recognition of content and source. Due to the rapid and increased nature of health updates, we were able to create the campaign, with numerous deliverables, over the course of a single week - developing the campaign branding and primary assets. This included various logo lockups, an initial run of website headers/footers, web ads, social media posts, decals, signs, flyers, and even billboards. I pledge to use my skills for the greater good of the community. #branding #designer #logo #graphicdesigner
