I’m a Danish freelance Art Director based in Aarhus with 25+ years of experience creating visual identities, websites, and print materials that work.
Since 2005, I’ve been running my own studio — KATAPULT® — where design meets storytelling, blending Scandinavian minimalism with a touch of attitude. My work ranges from branding and web design to packaging and campaigns for lifestyle, design, and hi-fi brands.
I collaborate closely with clients and creative partners across Europe, turning ideas into clear, powerful visuals that connect. When I’m not designing, I’m probably listening to vinyls, fine-tuning espresso shots, or road-tripping through Italy in my Mini Cooper.

– Migration with care and close collaboration that continues to this day
FranchiseHub is Denmark’s only dedicated franchise portal and a leading player in consulting, development and recruitment in the franchise world. They connect those who dream of becoming self-employed with chains looking for committed partners.
When I was recommended for the job by a colleague, the starting point was clear: FranchiseHub wanted to move their existing website from Drupal to WordPress – without compromising on functionality or visual identity.
Along the way, we encountered some technical challenges that often accompany migrations from older systems. But thanks to a good and open dialogue, we found the solutions as we went along – and the collaboration only grew stronger through the process.
The result is a modern and user-friendly WordPress site that matches today’s digital expectations. The visual appearance has been updated to look both professional and contemporary, without losing the original look and feel.
The collaboration with FranchiseHub continues – and I am really happy about that.
– A visual collaboration with Sergei Sviatchenko, created with respect for art, collage and the city’s 1000-year history
For several years, I have worked closely with the artist Sergei Sviatchenko – one of the world’s leading collage artists in contemporary art. In addition to being an incredibly talented artist, Sergei has also been a great source of inspiration for me.
In connection with Viborg’s 1000th anniversary, Sergei Sviatchenko and English artist James Springall created an impressive exhibition of contemporary collage art. My role in the project was to develop a website that reflects Sergei and James’ unique artistic expression.
It has been a fantastic experience to contribute to such a visually powerful project – and not least to work closely with one of my greatest sources of inspiration.
– Visual identities, campaign materials, websites and merchandise for school activities in Sisimiut and nationwide events such as the Education Caravan.
I have worked on several projects under KTI (KTI – Kalaallit Nunaanni Teknikkimik Ilinniarfik), where I have contributed visual identities, marketing materials and creative solutions to four different initiatives: GUX, eGUX, NGK and MATUP.
GUX – a technical natural science programme in Sisimiut
I have had many exciting assignments for GUX-Sisimiut.
In 2013, they needed to create an “Educational Setup” that covered everything from study rules and policies to fields of study.
The files were collected from several sources, and approximately 100 pages had to be divided into sections and chapters – a task that required a solid overview. I was responsible for the pages, layout, design and binding, so that everything looked elegant, professional and attractive. It was a challenging project, where I had to make decisions about format, paper type and content division with tabs, among other things.
Later, I designed a practical folder that brought together the various study programmes and half-year calendars in one user-friendly solution. The folder had a sturdy 3 mm cardboard cover, two self-adhesive plastic pockets (one for study programmes and one for calendars) and a clip for an A5 notepad, which gave it extra functionality.
In addition to the printed materials, I also created an iPaper containing everything from study programmes, logo design and merchandise to a school newspaper, social media graphics and various announcements.
NGK – A strong visual identity for the North Atlantic High School
The North Atlantic High School (NGK) offers students from Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Iceland and Greenland the opportunity to take a stx exam while experiencing the North Atlantic.
I developed NGK’s visual identity, which formed a strong foundation for their marketing. In addition to an effective logo design, I have created a wide range of materials, including:
• Advertisements and web banners for Jyllands-Posten and Politiken
• Flyers and a main brochure
• TV commercials for KNR (Greenlandic TV)
• Advertisements for train screens
An exciting task, where the goal was to make NGK’s offerings clear and attract new students to this unique educational opportunity.
– Close collaboration since the start – covering everything from logos and packaging to websites and exhibition stands
PROTECTOS A/S – it all started with an ‘Identity Package’
My collaboration with PROTECTOS began right from the start of the company and has developed over the last 13 years. PROTECTOS provides effective and long-lasting solutions for the impregnation, renovation and cleaning of facades – for private homes, agriculture, public buildings, rental properties and commercial properties.
The first task was to create a strong visual identity that reflected the company’s industry and appealed to their target audience. This included a logo that signalled quality and expertise. I then developed a consistent letterhead and a website that gave the company a professional online presence.
To ensure easy maintenance of their website, we chose WordPress. This solution allows them to update content themselves, while WordPress has some advantages in terms of search engine optimisation and easier implementation of features such as galleries and product presentations. After the launch of the website, brochures and a press release were also produced to raise awareness of the new company.
KELAX – a natural progression
Keld later established KELAX ApS, which specialises in products for impregnation, renovation and cleaning, as well as the sale of special tools, building materials and equipment such as shoes and rainwear.
As with PROTECTOS A/S, my task was to create the visual identity from scratch. I designed the logo, letterhead, data sheets and labels, as well as a wide range of marketing materials, including banners, roll-ups for trade fairs and press releases.
The collaboration with both PROTECTOS A/S and KELAX ApS has been exciting, and I continue to contribute with ongoing advertising, web updates and trade fair materials to ensure that their visual profile always appears strong and professional.
– Design of annual report for DK Company A/S with focus on aesthetics, brand and readability
An annual report is much more than just numbers – it is an important tool for presenting the company’s results, strategies and future ambitions in a professional and inviting way.
DK Company A/S is one of Denmark’s largest textile companies with a portfolio of 20 strong brands. I was tasked with designing their annual report so that it not only met the formal requirements but also communicated the company’s identity and strengths in a visually engaging way.
To create a balanced and inspiring reading experience, the report was structured like a magazine, with each brand presented in attractive spreads that created a natural connection with the financial statements and management report. The goal was to combine aesthetics and functionality so that the annual report appeared professional, reader-friendly and representative of DK Company’s position in the fashion industry.
The result was a stylish and exclusive annual report that shows how a well-thought-out design can enhance a company’s communication and make even the most data-heavy sections inviting and accessible.
– A tailor-made website that matches the company’s elegant architectural solutions
I have been really happy to be involved in designing and developing the new website for Nordic Glass, and I am really pleased with the result. The website was designed in Figma and built in Webflow.
When creating a website where the design is the focus, Webflow is ideal to use as it offers great flexibility and the ability to adapt the design to all devices, ensuring a responsive result.
For a client like Nordic Glass, which works with Bjarke Ingels, among others, it is crucial that the design reflects the company’s high standards.
It has been a really exciting collaboration with Morten Thomsen and Maria Solberg, and I am really proud to have been involved in creating a website that matches their vision of bringing innovative architectural solutions to life.
– A modern campaign design based on the brand’s original identity
When a brand has established itself strongly in the market, it is important that any visual updates are made with care – striking a balance between renewal and recognisability is crucial. When High on Life needed to update their online campaigns, I was contacted to develop a solution that would both modernise the visual expression and preserve the existing brand identity.
A strong visual identity is not just a matter of aesthetics – it is a strategic tool that creates recognisability, credibility and differentiation in a highly competitive market. It is through colours, typography, images and layout that a brand communicates its values and message to its target audience. Therefore, the goal of this assignment was to ensure that High on Life continued to appear sharp and professional across digital platforms, while existing customers could still recognise and relate to the brand.
We worked with modern design elements, an updated colour palette and sharper typography that could support the brand’s development without removing what made it strong from the start. The process required a deep understanding of both the brand’s DNA and the target group’s expectations.
It was a super exciting task, where the challenge was to create something new and dynamic while preserving the essence of High on Life.
– When the music plays – and the design follows
Music has always been a big part of my life, so it’s a huge pleasure when I can combine my professional expertise as a graphic designer and art director with my passion for music. Fortunately, I haven’t contributed to the music industry as an artist – the world is probably better off without my vocal experiments. Instead, I have been able to create visual identities for a number of exciting artists, where the graphic expression plays an important role in the music’s narrative.
Astronaut – Collaboration with Sergei Sviatchenko
One of the projects I am particularly proud of is the cover design for the Aarhus-based band Astronaut. In close collaboration with artist Sergei Sviatchenko, known for CLOSE UP AND PRIVATE, among other things, we created a visual expression that supports the band’s sound universe. The result is a cover that not only represents the music, but also functions as a work of art in itself. Astronaut is a really exciting band that I personally look forward to following!
FREMMAND – Post-punk with a visual twist
I also had the pleasure of designing the cover for the Aarhus-based band FREMMAND, who create a unique atmosphere within goth and post-punk. Their dark, atmospheric sound deserved a cover that matched the mood – and it was a cool task to help bring the visual aspect to their musical universe.
Konstantin Schimanowski – Berlin-based electronic composer and artist
In collaboration with Sergei Sviatchenko, I designed the cover for Konstantin Schimanowski, a talented electronic composer and artist from Berlin. Konstantin works with experimental sound and creates music that challenges the traditional boundaries of electronic art. His works draw on a range of musical and visual elements that make his sound both unique and groundbreaking.
In this project, my focus was on developing a cover design that could reflect his complex and artistic approach to music, while visually supporting his creativity. It was an exciting and inspiring task to work with an artist who so clearly has his own vision of how sound and art can merge.
– A collaboration where passion for design and sound meet
My long-standing collaboration with Dantax has offered many exciting projects within branding and visual identity. Dantax is behind two renowned loudspeaker brands: Raidho and Scansonic.
Raidho represents the pinnacle of high-end audio experiences, where uncompromising design and exceptional acoustics go hand in hand. Scansonic caters to the more affordable mid-range segment, but with the same focus on quality and aesthetics.
My task began with a thorough update of the two brands’ websites and the development of new brochures. Since then, the collaboration has evolved to include everything from ongoing web updates and advertisements to photo shoots, press releases, trade fair stand materials, packaging design, web banners and everything else that creates a strong and recognisable brand identity.
For Raidho, it was important to create a visual experience that matched the brand’s exclusive image. That’s why we chose Webflow, which gave us greater design freedom and the opportunity for a more tailored solution. The Scansonic website, on the other hand, was developed in WordPress and has recently undergone a comprehensive design update to match the brand’s modern profile.
The collaboration with Dantax is a fantastic opportunity to combine strong design with a passion for sound – and create visual solutions that support the unique quality their speakers are known for.
