I’m Kristen Solecki, a Durham-based freelance illustrator and designer. I run a full-service illustration studio that has worked with a wide range of clients—including West Elm, NPR, MUSC Children’s Hospital, universities, and magazines—delivering editorial and brand illustration, wall coverings, and book covers. I work with gouache and watercolor and collaborate with Adobe Creative Suite to bring visuals to life, crafting art that supports brand narratives and storytelling. In addition to client work, I teach and curate. Since 2019 I’ve been an Arts Educator with the Durham Arts Council, I’ve served as an Adjunct in Media Arts at Trident Technical College, and I’ve curated exhibitions with On & Off the Page.
