🌊 Biblical Animation & Storytelling Case Study (“Jesus Stills the Storm”)

The project required a cinematic, emotionally engaging animated illustration sequence depicting a classic biblical narrative—specifically, Jesus sleeping peacefully on a boat while his disciples navigate calm waters that suddenly turn into a fierce, stormy tempest. The goal was to build dramatic tension and expression suitable for a children’s or family-oriented faith-based digital storybook.

Character Design & Modeling: Developed expressive 3D character models capturing contrasting moods—from peaceful serenity to sheer panic and urgency among the disciples.

Environment & Atmosphere: Crafted a dynamic visual shift in lighting, water texture, and weather, transitioning from a calm sunny day on the lake to dark storm clouds, heavy rain, and churning waves.

Cinematic Composition: Focused on camera angles and character staging to heighten the narrative tension as the storm breaks out around the boat.

A striking, high-impact animated sequence that effectively captures the drama and emotion of the story. The stark contrast between the calm figure of Jesus and the terrified disciples creates an immersive visual storytelling experience that immediately draws viewers into the scene.
