uniE621 Infographic Poster: Wailuku Civic Center
As the lead art director and graphic designer for the community project, I spearheaded the creation of a series of impactful infographic posters that served as visual ambassadors for the revitalization efforts in Wailuku Town. Drawing from the rich data and insights gathered through the County of Maui's reWailuku campaign, each poster was meticulously crafted to reflect the community's aspirations and priorities. Through vibrant visuals and concise information, we showcased the potential for growth and renewal, inviting partnerships and reinvestment in Wailuku's vibrant cultural hub. These posters became not just tools for outreach and marketing, but rallying points for collective action, inspiring residents and stakeholders to join hands in shaping a brighter future for Wailuku Town. graphicdesigner infographic posterdesign
uniE621 Report Design: The Statewide Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP)
The Statewide Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP) is updated every 5 years to assess Hawai'i's outdoor recreation trends, needs, and priorities. The plan also provides direction for the State's recreational future and allows Hawa'ʻi to remain eligible to receive funds for outdoor recreation projects through the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF), a federal grants program administered by the National Park Service. As the leader of the art direction for the SCORP, I ensured that our visual narrative captured the essence of the islands' natural beauty and the urgency of preserving it. From the azure skies to the lush landscapes and the vibrant depths of the ocean, every element of Hawai'i's diverse environments was meticulously represented in our design. Crafting a project logo that symbolized unity and conservation, we wove it seamlessly into all supporting graphic materials, fostering a cohesive and compelling visual identity. My aim was not just to inform, but to inspire action, urging stakeholders to prioritize the preservation and enhancement of outdoor recreation opportunities across Hawai'i's breathtaking landscapes and seascapes. graphicdesigner reportdesign layout publication
    uniE621 Victoria Place HCDA Application
As the first LEED-ND Platinum-certified master plan development in the country and the only one in Hawaiʻi, Ward Village is at the forefront of sustainable community development and will feature public amenities at a scale not offered by any other urban development in the state. Working with the Hawaiʻi Community Development Authority, the PBR HAWAII & Associates team prepared and developed the Planned Development Permit (PDP) on behalf of the Howard Hughes Corporation. Creating an illustration and graphic pattern to represent Victoria Ward's old plantation home and its roots to old Hawaiʻi involved a delicate blend of historical research and artistic interpretation. The design aimed to capture the essence of the plantation era, incorporating elements such as traditional Hawaiian architecture, lush tropical foliage, and subtle nods to the diverse cultural influences that shaped the region. Through intricate linework and vibrant colors, the illustration evokes a sense of nostalgia and reverence for the rich history of Victoria Ward's estate, serving as a visual homage to its place in Hawaiʻi's past. The graphic pattern features motifs inspired by the plantation era, weaving together a tapestry of heritage and legacy. graphicdesigner layout publication illustration
