Kevin Kane has made the better part of his living as a singer/songwriter and playwright. His ten-minute musical tributes to Jackie Robinson and Frederick Douglass are popular on YouTube. He’s proud to have been featured on WFUV-Fordham radio in 2024, as a guest artist on their “New York Slice—NYC Singer/Songwriters of Note”. His play, “A Love of the Game” was first developed at the O’Neill National Playwrights Conference. He was a founder of New London’s Dutch Tavern Players—and has had many plays produced in small theaters there, in New York City and elsewhere. He has many album recordings on Spotify and on most other music websites.
He performs regularly.
He was a staff songwriter at the O’Neill National Cabaret Conference for many years. He was a staff songwriter for “Mr. Christmas, LLC” writing both novelty and serious songs of the season that were placed in music boxes, seasonal displays and novelty items. He was the resident children’s musician at the Riverdale Neighborhood House in the Bronx for ten years - which resulted in two popular collections of songs, on Spotify, called “If You Want a Donut” and “Sea Lion”.
