I am Katie Wallis, a UK-based artist and illustrator with an MA in Illustration from the University of the Arts, London. I specialise in hand-drawn, detailed natural history art, working primarily in pen, ink, graphite, and watercolour, with confidence in acrylic. All of my work is hand-drawn and hand-painted, and I also bring strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign. I enjoy collaborating with clients and brands to create bespoke pieces from concept to final piece. My practice spans live-painting events and high-profile collaborations (e.g., Alpine F1 and MALIN+GOETZ). I’m comfortable across subjects and styles, translating curiosity into visually rich stories, whether editorial illustration or product design.

Work Experience

Illustrator at WWF-UK
May 13, 2024 - January 26, 2024
I created 11 hand-drawn wildlife illustrations for WWF-UK's 'The Great British Wildlife Guide'. This project had an incredibly fast turnaround time, with just two weeks to complete all creations, from the initial design stage through to the final outcome. Effective team collaboration, time management and resourcefulness was crucial in achieving the final illustrations of a high quality and in a timely manner.
