Workplace Violence Mitigation (WVM) is the consolidation of three companies, Hawkeye Active Shooter Response Training, CLS Background investigations and Makton Investigation & Consulting. Their goal is to provide services that reduce the likelihood or overall impact of a workplace violence incident on a place of business and its employees. I was brought unto the team as a freelance graphic designer in order to assist with the imagery of the rebrand, working directly with the vice president and copywriter.
As the team’s graphic designer, I had to figure out how I would keep the traits of the three companies within the rollout of the rebrand. While researching the companies, I noticed how each of their websites and current material had a strong focus on the primary colors associated with the individual companies. WVM’s core new message was to prepare and protect people within the workplace. Therefore, I focused on that coloring which represented the individual companies and how each of them came together to form a shield.
