I'm a musician who specializes in composition and performance in multiple genres. I am primarily a composer of art music, but have also done my own recordings of electronica, rhythm & blues, jazz, world music, rock, and music theatre. I hold a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in composition and my music has been performed by professional ensembles such as NYC's Atlantic Brass Quintet and American Modern Ensemble. I have composed for film, music theatre, chamber ensemble, choir, and more. I also perform as a singer/pianist in bands, and have served as the music director and arranger for multiple ensembles. I have arranged pieces for everything from jazz band to orchestra. My greatest strength is my diversity of skills and styles; I have also worked extensively in Native American and West African traditional music.
