I am a freelance singer, musician, writer and artist, and also a part-time sociologist and educator. For almost four decades, I have performed music as a vocalist and bassist in a variety of bands, including full-time for two years in the Canary Islands during the mid-nineties. I continue to perform regularly with my current band, and have been asked to contribute to other musical projects in various genres, both as a singer and as a bass player. Whilst the majority of my vocal publication has been through academic work: guest appearances on podcasts and as a speaker at public conferences, both online and in person, I have recorded backing vocals on two albums, bass guitar on another and keyboards on one more, together with album artwork.
