I’m Robert “Loose Cannon” Anderson, a Glasgow-based producer, composer, audio engineer and musician who alchemically turns ideas into bold, tangible sound. I work across studio and stage with a hands-on, collaborative approach, producing for The Rotations, Boab, Middle Class Guilt and mixing and mastering soundtracks and records.
I run and facilitate interactive audio workshops through soundinnerspace (CIC), mentor artists in Glasgow’s vibrant underground scene, and bring a practical, focused, friendly energy to every project—from tracking to mastering and live performance.

The Rotations utilize an eccentric, multi-instrumental arrangement to achieve their distinct genre-bending sound: A highly experimental blend including Avant-garde, Soul-Jazz, Krautrock, Psychedelic, Gypsy Jazz, and Rhythm & Blues
The album is heavily celebrated for its highly theatrical, cinematic, and unconventional approach to rock music. Critics frequently describe the band’s aesthetic as “junkyard blues” or a “junkyard cabaret”. The record features avant-garde instrumentation like pianos, banjos, and erratic vocal delivery. Music reviewers have likened their dark, eccentric arrangements to a mix of Tom Waits, Captain Beefheart, Nick Cave, and The Fall.
