Lucas Sprague is a 21 year old composer and performer who completed his undergraduate degree at California Lutheran University. Lucas received a BA in Music with an Emphasis in Composition and studied under Dr. Mark Spraggins, Dr. Aaron Frutchman, and Dr. Adan Fernandez.
While studying at California Lutheran University, Lucas has been granted multiple opportunities to further his craft including but not limited to; attending the Los Angeles Film Conducting Intensive, participating in Drum Corps International as a Mellophone for the Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets and a Drum Major for The Battalion Drum & Bugle Corps.
Lucas also traveled to Austria, Czechia, and Carnegie Hall with the CLU Choirs, and receiving multiple endowed scholarships at California Lutheran University. He is also a active member of the Society of Composers and Lyricists, the American Guild of Organists, and the Academy of Scoring Arts.
Lucas’s music is influenced by famed film composers such as John Williams, John Powell, Erich Wolfgang Korngold, Phillip Glass, Howard Shore, and Jerry Goldsmith. His classical influences include Florence Price, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Igor Stravinsky, J.S. Bach, Jennifer Higdon, Jake Runestad, and Craig Hella Johnson.
