Felton Crews

I’m Felton Crews, a professional bassist and vocalist focused on supporting and elevating every musical performance I’m part of. Electric bass is my main instrument, and I bring sensitivity, conscientiousness, and a collaborative spirit to the stage and studio.

Over decades I’ve worn many hats including Music Director, Contractor, Producer, and Studio Musician, and I’ve been honored as a two-time Grammy nominee and a 2017 inductee into the Chicago Music Hall of Fame. I’ve operated as a self-employed / independent contractor from 1976 to 2022, collaborating with international bands, studio projects, and corporate events. I studied General Music at Olive Harvey College (Chicago City College) and earned a Diploma from Ultimate Medical Academy in 2021, maintaining a 3.98 GPA and Dean’s List honors.
