Larry Chang is an NYC-based Taiwanese composer and audio designer. Larry began his career scoring for films, multimedia, and theater productions in 2011. Larry’s work in the commercial film, Zone Pro Site: The Moveable Feast, was nominated for Best Original Film Score in the 50th Golden Horse Awards, the equivalent to the Oscars in Asia. The movie itself also hit 9.8M in the domestic box office, the 6th highest-grossing film in Taiwan. With a Master's degree in the Entertainment Technology Center at Carnegie Mellon University, Larry has been dedicated to creating immersive linear and interactive audio experiences for games and Virtual Reality. His work for Construct Studio’s interactive narrative VR title, The Price of Freedom, has received various awards and honors including a showcasing at the Sundance Film Festival(2017), Cinequest Film Festival(2017), Runner-Up for Best Cinematic VR/ Narrative Achievement of Vision Summit (2016), and Nominee for Best VR Experience of BIG Festival (2016). Larry was also the winner of the Microsoft GameOn Contest (2015), International Serious Play Gold Awards (2015), and G.A.N.G. Scholar Program (2015) Larry is also the visiting lecturer at the Entertainment Technology Center at Carnegie Mellon University and the speaker of the 2017 GameSound Con talking about audio design for VR and interactive music design.
