    In 2022, we embarked on a journey to highlight the challenges associated with family planing under the mentorship of Jjpiego in partnership with the Ministry of Health- Kenya. Our goal was to document the challenges women in Kakamega County face in regard to family planning. Most women said that society/cultural beliefs dictate that a man js considered masculine only when he has at least 12 Children. We had the privilege of documenting the story of a woman who was brave enough to question that practice and underwent family planning despite her husbands desire to sire many children whom he did not provide for.
