Leah Natale is a vocalist, composer, arranger, and producer based in Seattle. In 2013 she was the winner of the Seattle/Kobe Female Jazz Vocalist of the Year and she has been invited back to Japan in 2023 and 2024 as a guest artist and judge for the Kobe Jazz Vocal Queen Contest. Back home in Seattle, she is a professional performer, producer, educator, and director, collaborating with diverse artists across classic jazz, Brazilian, and Latin repertoires. She has released three albums, including My Someday with a 10-piece jazz orchestra, Swing Easy, and Second Set with Ambience Jazz, and she is a two-time Earshot Magazine Vocalist of the Year nominee. Leah has a BA in African American Studies from the University of Wisconsin, focusing on American jazz traditions, history, and styles. She continues to lead Ambience Jazz Quintet, Darlings of Rhythm, and Seattle Women In Jazz productions, while teaching and directing to nurture the next generation of musicians.
