Hi, I’m Leah K. Smith, a multimedia storyteller based in Honolulu, Hawaii. I earned a B.S. in Communications from Brigham Young University-Idaho and specialize in video editing, photography, and wardrobe support for film and theater. My work earned the Best Editing Award for The Haunted: A Poetic Documentary, and my online portfolio showcases the videos I’ve crafted during college.
I’m collaborative, proactive, and comfortable in fast-paced settings, with solid skills in Da Vinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Camera Raw, and Microsoft Office. I enjoy turning ideas into polished visuals and would love to contribute to creative projects in film, television, or digital media.

While working at 24 Hour Fitness, I was asked to create promotional videos for each of the personal trainers on staff as a way of increasing clientele. This was the first one I made for Korinne. This video ended up in the official Instagram page of 24 Hour Fitness.
This song is an original from a friend of mine who agreed to let me make a music video for his song. I directed, storyboarded, and edited the video.
For my final project in my Documentary class I wanted to do a Poetic style documentary of the scarers at the local haunt in my college town, the Haunted Straw Maze.
I directed, wrote, interviewed, co-filmed (a classmate helped behind the camera for the shots of me getting scared), and edited the film.
