Japanese Modular Kit - Unreal Engine 5
The main focus of this project was to create a versatile, game-ready modular environment kit that can be used to create a large variety of buildings quickly.
Initially, I intended to create only the building kit, but it evolved into creating a full-scale environment with foliage assets and props.
Everything has been created from scratch, except for the textures, which are from free libraries such as AmbientCG, Polyhaven, and Quixel. I have made the master materials, which feature a Vertex painting shader, a Material layering system (with RGB masks), Landscape material with RVTs (Runtime Virtual Textures), and a Foliage shader.
All the modelling and unwrapping was done in Blender. The user can browse through the store's products, inspect them closely, and view their specifications. Additionally, the store features three configurable objects (an e-bike, an e-scooter, and a drone) that users can customize to their preferences.
I was responsible for modeling and texturing the environment and most of the products on display. Also, I was assigned the task of setting up and managing the project in PlayCanvas, which involved writing and implementing all the scripts for the project. As this product was designed to run on both desktop and mobile platforms, optimization was critical to ensure smooth performance and reduce loading times.
