I was tasked to design three book covers over the course of a couple of months. Furthermore, I was tasked to visually interpret the characters of Hansi and Greyling whilst also capturing the environments where the story is being told.
As the book cover illustrator for the Hansi & Greyling series, I collaborated with clients to interpret briefs and deliver cover art that supports the book’s tone. I designed characters and backgrounds, applied grayscale-to-color workflows, and ensured strong composition and readability across cover formats. This role taught me to manage client communication, meet tight deadlines, and iterate quickly. My process emphasizes anatomy, lighting, and visual storytelling to create engaging covers that resonate with readers. I completed three book covers for the series, demonstrating reliability and attention to detail.
As a shop assistant I worked as part of a customer-focused team, delivering friendly service, handling transactions, and maintaining store presentation. This role strengthened my teamwork, timekeeping, and clear communication—skills I apply to client briefs, updates, and meeting deadlines in freelance projects.
