    uniE621 Sports Drink Branding
Design a new sports drink bottle and label with a unique selling point and develop an advertising strategy to demonstrate the new brand. This design needed to capture the unique selling point for this new sports drink. I chose dancers as there are currently few products targeted directly at them. After designing many different logos, I ultimately decided on a fairly simple typographic logo which results in clearer visibility on a bottle label. Hard Sports font was used as the basis for Whirl then the twirl tool in Illustrator was used to twirl the top of the ‘I’ and bottom of the ‘H’ to create a cool effect. Bauhaus 93 font was used for the tagline as it complements Hard Sports well. Adobe Garamond Pro would be used for paragraph text that needs to be clearly readable such as on the website. The colours used represent different flavours.
    uniE621 Small Business Website
Design the visual identity for a small business and then build a website for this business using the Wix platform. The small business is a florist, called Petal & Stem. The feel I wanted to create was rustic and playful. This is reflected in the logo of petals being blown off a flower and the choice of Amatic SC as the primary font. The colours chosen are varying shades of pink and purple to fit in with this theme. Through a process of creating and testing high fidelity wireframes in Adobe XD various detail, the website was refined to only include the most essential and beneficial features. All images were adjusted in Adobe Photoshop to have an orange filter put over them to give them a rustic feel. A coloured background with white petals over the top added to the overall theme of the business. webdesigner
uniE621 Showcase Invite & Splash Page Design
Design an e-invite and splash page for the 2022 Diploma of Graphic Design TAFE student showcase. My design was chosen for the invite and website splash page of the 2022 Diploma of Graphic Design TAFE Student Showcase. The word Reveal was chosen as it symbolises the graduating students revealing themselves and their work to the world. This design really makes the viewer work to make out the word Reveal. To accomplish this effect, I began with the word Reveal and then created offset lines alternating in colour until the lines had extended off the page. After adding a gradient overlay in Illustrator, I then took the final design into Adobe Photoshop to adjust the contrast.
    uniE621 Interactive Magazine
Design an interactive publication using the Interactive features of Adobe InDesign, suitable for viewing on a computer or iPad. I chose Frankie magazine to create as an interactive publication because it was a publication that lent itself well to the use of interactive features that would enhance the reader experience. Each article has a different coloured background so it is clear to the reader when they are on a different article. There is an interesting contrast between the serif font used for the article headings and the sans serif font used for the body text. There are also interactive elements throughout the magazine to encourage users to connect with the publication and with advertisers, including gifs, animations and buttons.
    uniE621 Drink Packaging
Develop a brand identity for Alice’s Kefir yoghurt drink. Branding of Alice’s Kefir has a fresh and wholesome feel to it. The rustic and quirky font of Kefir contrasted with the script font for Alice adds to this feel. The colour of the logo is kept in a pastel colour which helps the images of the fruit on each bottle to really stand out. A sans serif handwritten font was used for all other text and the back label of the bottle, as this contributes to the homely and wholesome feel of the bottle.
    uniE621 Brand Redesign
Redesign the logo and visual identity for a mother-daughter coaching business. A modern serif font was chosen for Janice Williams as the client particularly wanted a distinct curve in the ‘J’ and for the logo to be easily legible. Purple and orange were chosen as the main colours as they represent wisdom, bravery, energy and social communication which are part of the coaching process. The hand icons represent the mother and adult daughter connecting together after attending coaching sessions. graphicdesigner branding
uniE621 Book Cover & Internal Typographic Design
The brief was to design a book cover and internal typographic design. The cover image matches the title perfectly. The font chosen complements the image as it has the appearance of having been typed with the typewriter that appears in the image. The text on the cover has been carried through to the internal typographic design and used for the heading text. graphicdesigner bookdesign
    uniE621 Bakery Branding
The brief was to develop a unique and original visual identity for a new bakery. The brand should appeal to hip urban dwellers. For this project, I wanted to create a brand that was both a little bit quirky and sophisticated. I decided to create a bakery that also sells succulents for customers to purchase, which is how the name came about. The colours used provide an interesting contrast between the brown crispness of freshly baked bread and the green freshness of plants with some pops of a light blue to add to the cleanness of the brand. Bernard MT Condensed font was used as it represents the solidity of a loaf of bread. Peace Maker Alt was used as a contrast and to take some of the harshness away from that solid font. Tahoma would be used for paragraph text that needs to be clearly readable such as on the menu. graphicdesigner branding
    uniE621 Allergy Medication Packaging
The brief was to design and produce a series of three medical packs called NasClear aimed at the allergy sufferer consumer market. The medical packs steer away from the usual designs commonly used on allergy medication packaging. The hexagon pattern is modern and alludes to bees and pollen, one of the most common allergens. The gradient softens the pattern while the colours chosen brighten the design and help it to stand out on the shelf in the pharmacy. The font is a modern serif font that complements the hexagon pattern well. graphicdesigner branding packaging
