To the team at Twine, My name is Luke and I'm a versatile copywriter/content writer/creative writer based in Melbourne’s Southeast, with a knack for turning complex ideas into clear, engaging messaging. With experience across organic and paid social media, website content, and print campaigns, I bring a strategic mindset to every project, crafting copy that not only captures attention but drives action. I am excited to submit my application for the Screenwriter position at Twine. I have just completed a Bachelor of Creative Writing at Deakin University with intentions to undertake my Masters in Communications in the near future. I’m thrilled to be applying for the position of copywriter at Twine and believe I have the necessary skills and qualities to flourish within such an immensely creative and altruistic environment. Though I’m early in my writing career, I have worked as a copywriter for Moving Words since March this year, crafting exceptional copy that is captivating, engaging, and detailed. As a copywriter, I have experience with various ad spaces and mediums, including the internet, social media campaigns, brochures, and more. In my spare time, I am a passionate fiction writer, working alongside other aspiring writers at Meridian Australis. Meridian Australis is an organisation that strives to create compelling speculative fiction and aims to promote and launch the next generation of fiction writers. With the organisation, I help workshop other writers’ manuscripts and short-form pieces with constructive feedback, editorial notes, and creative suggestions. In October of this year, I will be published alongside other talented writers in Meridian Australis’s sophomore literary magazine, AUSTRAL ‘25. In addition to this achievement, I have been published with several other literary journals and magazines, and have a piece set to be published with Aurealis Magazine in May, 2026. Likewise, in 2017, as a private endeavour, I successfully self-published a short novella titled ‘Boy-Man’. The process was involved but rewarding, providing me the opportunity to experience the publishing system for myself, from editing all the way to officially launching the book at the Realm Library in Eastland where over fifty people attended. When I'm not working or pursuing writing, I'm world-building for my next Dungeons & Dragons campaign, working on my novel, or diving into a good book. I am comfortable working both individually as well as part of a team, but my greatest strength is my passion for publishing great quality work. I look forward to hearing from the team at Twine and sincerely appreciate your time and consideration. Regards, Luke Weavell
