Benjamin Borndahl is a multidisciplinary artist, illustrator, and creative art educator based in Columbia, SC. With 5+ years of K–5 classroom experience and 2 years teaching grades 6–8, he brings a deep understanding of developmental learning, visual storytelling, and classroom-ready design to both education and professional art production. His roles span penciler, layout artist, inker, colorist, character designer, and writer. He is the author and cover artist of Chamberlain: Heir to Ruin, and a contributor to Freestyle Comics (H Is for Hotshot) as character designer, layout artist, and penciler. In children’s literature, Benjamin is the writer of And His Name Was Rocco and Pagra and Agra, and the illustrator of Charlie Pepper and the Fickle Crumb. He is also the creator of Mr. B’s Creative Creature Collection (illustrator, creature designer, writer) and the author/illustrator of the Mr. B’s Bedtime Stories of Excellence series. His educational publishing and curriculum work includes serving as editor, writer, and content developer for Modern Art of Excellence, The Bocomon Collection, G—gle That: The Artbook, and Heroes International, where he also worked as promo artist, character designer, cover artist, inker, and colorist.
