Melanie Wichlein

I am an illustrator based in Dresden with a background in Art and Cultural Studies (BA, University of Bremen). Since 2013, I have been illustrating books for children and adults. In recent years, my artistic work has focused on raising awareness of environmental issues, particularly climate change.
Working at the intersection of art, education, and socially relevant topics, I use illustration, storytelling, and creative processes to make complex themes such as sustainability, climate protection, and mindfulness accessible and engaging. Through my illustrations, book projects, and workshops, especially for children and young people, I create spaces for expression, reflection, and empowerment. Alongside commissioned work, I develop my own projects and educational materials, guided by my concept Every Art Helps, which explores how art can create positive social impact.
