I’m Stéphanie François, a senior graphic designer based in Melbourne with over 20 years of experience. I specialise in delivering high-quality graphic design solutions tailored to each business. Working independently allows me to offer a personal, hands-on approach where communication is clear and nothing gets lost along the way. My work spans branding, print, digital and social media design. I focus on creating thoughtful, practical design that supports your goals and works in the real world. Over the years, I’ve worked with organisations across education, finance, health and safety, non-profits and professional services. Each project is different, but the aim is always the same: clear, well-crafted design that reflects the business behind it. Most of my work comes through referrals and repeat clients, which speaks to the trust built through consistency, reliability and long-term collaboration.

paper Environmental Artwork for Open Universities Australia

Open Universities Australia engaged me to refresh key areas of their office through considered artwork and environmental design. The aim was to create work that feels modern, calming and supportive of the people who use the space, integrated naturally into the environment rather than reading as branding.

The new visual language needed to sit comfortably within open plan, high traffic areas and reflect OUA’s values in a subtle and contemporary way. A site visit informed the approach, allowing the artwork to respond to light, materials, scale and movement throughout the office.

The artwork was developed as a connected system rather than standalone pieces. Subtle references to OUA’s brand were expressed through form, colour and balanced composition, creating a calm and cohesive experience across the space.

A key feature is the reception artwork. Inspired by a bead maze, flowing wire pathways and rotating beads represent OUA’s university partners and the many directions students can take. The concept communicates choice, flexibility and guidance while keeping the space light and welcoming.

The final suite of 15 artworks creates an environment that feels calm, confident and inclusive, communicating values through experience rather than words.

    paper Expo Artwork for Fuseco

Fuseco engaged me to design large scale expo artwork that would help their brand stand out on a busy exhibition floor while still feeling clear, confident and considered.

The challenge was to translate Fuseco’s technical offering into artwork that communicates quickly and effectively at a distance. The design needed to feel strong and professional without becoming visually noisy, supporting conversations rather than competing with them.

The final artwork uses a restrained colour palette, bold typography and a clear visual hierarchy to guide attention and reinforce key messages. Every element was designed to work at scale, ensuring clarity from multiple viewing distances and across different formats within the stand.

The result is expo artwork that feels confident and purposeful, helping Fuseco present their brand with clarity and consistency in a fast paced environment.

paper Brand Identity for Kardinia Urology

This project involved the development of a brand identity for Kardinia Urology, focused on clarity, trust and professionalism within a clinical setting. The visual language was designed to feel calm and contemporary, supporting patients while confidently representing a specialist medical practice.

The identity balances warmth with authority, avoiding overly clinical or corporate cues. Instead, the focus is on restraint, clarity and thoughtful detail to create a reassuring and approachable presence.

The final brand system uses a refined colour palette, confident typography and considered composition to ensure consistency across touch points. The result is a modern, professional identity that supports both patient experience and clinical confidence.

paper Event Branding for Melbourne Org Field Summer Picnic

The Melbourne Org Field Summer Picnic brings families and individuals together in a relaxed, welcoming setting. I designed a flexible branding system that could be used year after year, capturing the spirit of summer, playfulness, inclusion and togetherness.

The identity features a flower motif, subtle sun icon and playful checkers pattern to reflect the picnic setting and reinforce a warm, communal feel. It works across digital and print, creating a recognisable and approachable look that builds excitement around the event.

paper Brand Refresh and Exhibition Design for Atherton

Atherton required a rebrand to help them stand out in a competitive market while still honouring over 130 years of expertise and their Australian made heritage. The refreshed visual identity was designed to feel modern and forward thinking, without losing the trust and credibility the brand is known for.

A key part of the rebrand was the creation of a series of animal themed icons, each representing a different steriliser model. The icons bring a sense of personality to the brand while remaining clear and functional, making it easier to differentiate products and navigate the range.

The new identity was carried through to Atherton’s booth at the 2023 FSRACA Conference. The exhibition artwork was designed to highlight Atherton’s leadership in infection control, support meaningful conversations on the show floor and help position the brand for new industry connections and future growth.

paper Brand and Digital Design for Access Telehealth

In mid 2019, Access Telehealth began a period of growth that required a clearer brand presence and stronger digital foundation as the business expanded into new markets. I worked as part of the project team to support the evolution of the brand through considered visual design and digital execution.

The work focused on creating a visual language that felt contemporary, confident and trustworthy, balancing innovation with reliability in a rapidly evolving healthcare space. The resulting design system was applied across marketing collateral and digital touchpoints to help communicate Access Telehealth’s offering with clarity and consistency.

The outcome was a strengthened brand and digital presence that provided a solid foundation for growth, positioning Access Telehealth with confidence as it continued to scale.
