I am a musician (songwriter, composer, guitarist, bassist, and vocalist) originally from the United Kingdom and currently based in Taipei, Taiwan. I consider myself a lifelong musician and music student; I started playing the piano at the age of 5, and I have been actively engaged in musical activities ever since. Since 2005, I have performed solo and in bands in Taiwan, the United Kingdom, Japan, the United States, and Austria. I have played shows in a wide variety of settings and venues, including in restaurants and bars, on boats, and at live venues, public corporate events, and private functions such as weddings and end-of-year parties. Most of the material that I perform is self-composed. I have a bachelor's degree in Music and English Literature from the University of Sheffield (United Kingdom); composition was an important element of this degree. In addition to the expertise I gained at university, I have been writing songs and composing music for more than 20 years.
