uniE621 A Loja do Vô Tónio
1st Prize in Brand Strategy and Silver in Branding, Online Design Awards 2025 Context Vô Tónio’s Grocery is a neighbourhood store with decades of history, renewed by the new generation without losing its family essence. The brand needed to convey the emotional bond with the community and the genuine character of the business. Challenge Develop an identity that preserved the grocery’s authenticity and emotional memory while incorporating human and artisanal elements, ensuring a modern and visually appealing result. Solution The logo was inspired by a real story: the owners’ granddaughter would run into the shop shouting “Vô Tónio!”, leading to a speech bubble-shaped mark with hand-drawn typography. Materials included bread bags printed with Portuguese sayings, business cards made from reused cardboard boxes hand-stamped with the logo, and shopping bags featuring data on plastic’s environmental impact. Each piece became unique, reinforcing the link between tradition, sustainability, and local identity. logo graphicdesigner webdesigner designer branding
    uniE621 Editora Virgula de Interrogação
Context Vírgula de Interrogação is an exclusively online publisher that stands out for its irreverent approach to presenting classic Portuguese authors, such as Luís de Camões, offering a more creative and appealing reading experience. Challenge Design a visual identity that conveys irreverence and modernity, appealing to a younger audience while maintaining respect and connection to the classics. The brand needed to stand out in the digital publishing market while remaining consistent across formats. Solution A distinctive logo was developed, supported by a bold colour palette — purple and orange — to reinforce the publisher’s vibrant and creative character. The project included visual identity for social media, bookmarks, business cards, dividers, and website design, ensuring consistent communication across all touchpoints. logo graphicdesigner designer branding
