Maryam Golrokh

Maryam Golrokh is a composer and violinist born in Tehran in 1997. She began her musical journey with the violin at the age of eleven, receiving training in instrumental performance and Western music at the Music High School of Tehran.

While completing a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance at Tehran Central University, she gradually turned toward composition, developing her voice outside academic frameworks.

Now based in France, Maryam’s work moves between orchestral writing and electronic sound, shaped by a strong narrative instinct. She composes mainly for film, dance, and interdisciplinary projects, often engaging with social themes, inner conflict, and emotional transformation. Her music has accompanied short films selected at Iranian festivals, contemporary dance pieces with social narratives, and theatrical performances.
