    paper Parados

Parados is the surviving soundtrack from an unfinished visual novel project. The score consists of 16 tracks totaling roughly 40 minutes and was built around a central idea: using instruments themselves as leitmotifs. Each romanceable character is represented by a specific instrument(s), and the music shifts dynamically depending on who is present in a scene. Rather than writing isolated cues, the soundtrack was designed so that all musical elements exist continuously on a loop, with individual instruments entering and leaving as characters appear and disappear. The result is a changing soundscape where each scene has a distinct musical identity shaped by its cast.

Character tracks were composed with a single character’s instrument at the center, supported by minimal background textures. Scene-based tracks were developed with all characters in mind. And because this is the soundtrack, every track is treated as if the full ensemble cast is appearing on screen.

The overall style leans toward chamber music, emphasizing clarity, intimacy, and texture. The score was not intended to sit quietly in the background. Instead, the music was designed to share the storytelling load with the text on screen, reinforcing emotion, subtext, and pacing

    paper Legends of Yore

Legends of Yore is a full, original faux game soundtrack spanning 43 tracks and over 108 minutes, conceived as a love letter to classic Final Fantasy and, in particular, the enduring influence of Nobuo Uematsu. This project exists for one simple reason: I wanted to see if I could do it. With no external story to work from, the goal was to write a full length game soundtrack, keep its themes recognizable as they evolved, and make sure each piece felt purposeful within the larger whole.

The score is primarily orchestral and small ensemble, with a few heavy rock battle themes, and one jazzier one for good measure.

Four core themes weave through the entire work: a main theme representing the heroes, a villain’s theme, an exploration theme, and a town theme.

Legends of Yore is not a Final Fantasy soundtrack, obviously, but it is deeply indebted to the spirit of those games. It is my way of honoring that legacy while continuing to find my own voice within it.
