Hi, I’m Matt Reynolds, a Junior 2D Animator with a passion for character animation, storyboarding, and concept art. I love blending styles inspired by Chuck Jones and Japanese animation to create engaging and unique projects. I’ve got solid skills in 2D animation software like Toon Boom Harmony and Clip Studio Paint, and I enjoy working collaboratively in teams as well as taking on leadership roles when it comes to project management.
Besides animating, I have experience in various parts of production including video editing, screenwriting, and post production. I also enjoy working on creative projects like my animated motion comic “Dynamo Thunder,” where I took on multiple roles including team leadership and scriptwriting. When I’m not animating, I like tinkering with tech, creating pixel art, playing video games, and exploring the outdoors.

Work experience
Created and led the animated motion comic project 'Dynamo Thunder,' a unique fantasy world production. Served as project team leader, managing and directing the team and voice actors. Co-writer and creator of the Bible Document. Contributed as a character concept and storyboard artist, sketch artist and previs, and post production co-editor.
Collaborated with Ipswich City Council and Indigenous artist Jennifer Kent as part of the 2023 Ipswich SPARK Festival. Effectively worked with government and Indigenous clients to exceed expectations. Experienced in working with ENTTEC LED lighting technology and adapting animation for proprietary media outputs. Delivered final product well before the production deadline.
Part-time position with previous experience at Royal on 99 since 2017. Adapted to multiple different roles under pressure and proven reliable by exceeding tasks and covering for absent teammates. Maintained confidence and friendliness towards both customers and staff.
